It's not the hardcore stuff you may be used to hearing but it is a welcome break. I sleep to this sometimes and it does sound soothing but not too slow. On the downside the disc is a little short but where it stumbles, it more than makes up for in quality.
The interesting thing is choppiness of the some of the tracks like "talk amongst yourselves" and "Burma", which enhances and allows for a feeling of trippiness. At what I could gauge is about 115 BPM it won’t get the party raving mad but if you prefer something slower to chill to after hard tracks this is simply perfect. "In a state" also maximizes this choppiness to great effect and you really do sense movement as you imagine the music visually. Good stuff.
I rate it a 3.5 out of 5
